High Throughput Testing (HTT) or Pairwise Testing is a technique for generating test cases when you want to minimize the number of tests but want to make sure that you cover all possible two-way combinations of factors that may have two or more levels.

Comparison to DOE:
For two factors, HTT is identical to the 2^2 full factorial design. For three factors with 2 levels each, HTT is identical to the 2^(3-1) fractional factorial design. That's were the similarity ends. For MORE factors and MORE levels, HTT will often result in a 50% reduction in the number of test cases.

Pro-Test makes it easy to generate HTT designs!
